Stella East has made over 300 presentations with her two books “Dreamstones” and “The Paint Box” for over 6000 children from the first grade to the seventh.

“The Paint Box” is about Marietta Tintoretto from Venice, the daughter of the great artist Tintoretto. She was dressed up like a boy so she could be with her father and paint (A made up story around a true person)

With the use of 'first sketches', drawings, photos and the complete set of original paintings, Stella explains her working procedure.

Stella tells about Tintoretto's home in Venice which she visited, and how she found Marietta's funny shaped pallet and the colourful stockings. Stella tells the story, and about what is true and what is made up, how she has tried to express that visually, and what other things she does as a visual storyteller to make her visual story as interesting as possible.

Stella East is available for giving presentations in 2004/2005.
